Powershift – Australia’s First Youth Climate Change Summit (11th – 13th July)

by Donna Yan on June 1, 2009

It’s understandeable that with the economy going to shits, some other other global issues like climate change have taken a back seat. However, with that being said, it doesn’t mean that climate change is any less of a concern for all of us. Felix here knows what I’m talking about.

PowerShift is going to be holding the first Australian youth climate change summit at the University of Western Sydney from the 11th – 13th July. Over 3000 people are expected to attend and the conference will feature speakers such as Dr Tim Flannery and Malcolm Turnbull. There will be a Green jobs fair and a concert at Manning Bar to finish off.

Get in quick if you’re interested because there’s an early bird registration fee of $55. It will rise to $80 after the 1st June. Contact the UTS coordinator for PowerShift, Nikki Littler, on 0401659772 for registration information. Also, don’t forget to checkout their website at www.powershift.org.au for more info.
